The Alliance for Future Generations (AFG) is pleased to share its official submission to the Constitutional Review Commission.
This submission is the result of conversations, consultations, and a nationwide survey with young people across Fiji. It brings together the experiences, perspectives, and recommendations of youth who took the opportunity to contribute to an important national conversation about the future of our Constitution.
At the heart of this submission is a simple belief: a Constitution should reflect the voices of the people it serves, especially those who will live with its impact for generations to come. Young people shared thoughtful insights on the protection of human rights, good governance and transparency, and electoral systems, while highlighting the importance of meaningful participation, accountability, inclusion, and representation in shaping Fiji's future.
We are grateful to every young person who shared their experiences and ideas throughout this process. Your contributions have helped shape a submission that reflects not only the challenges facing young people today, but also their hopes for a more just, inclusive, and democratic Fiji.
We invite you to read our full submission and learn more about the recommendations put forward by AFG as part of the Constitutional Review process.
